Aviation has not been immune from deregulation as many governments have sought to reduce investment requirements by privatizing the state airline, which has provided some airlines with opportunities to become global businesses. In Asia and South America, however, many airlines are still state-owned and enjoy a degree of protectionism. Ironically, this has not benefited many of these airlines in Asia as Page (2005) shows, since the airlines in the other parts of the world have forged strategic alliances to enter these ‘protected’ markets, thereby gaining competitive advantages. The protectionism means that many of the state-owned airlines are less competitive, leading to high fares for Asian travellers (Findlay, Sieh and Singh 1997) (except where they operate low staffing cost structures), and are not operating at their optimum performance. Figure 8.6, based on Evans’s (2001) conceptualization of the alliance and collaboration process for international airlines, highlights the range of motives associated with entering into such arrangements especially the potential for airlines to cooperate; for example, an alliance may offer passengers a global network without one airline having to provide all the services. This has assisted many of the larger airlines to establish a global presence through the three existing large airline alliances – Oneworld, Star Alliance and Sky Team.

原文有二十多萬字
大概都是長成這個樣子
光是要搞懂原意寫些什麼碗糕就很頭大
還得在短時間內譯成中文
唉，錢難賺
（我居然還看了五萬五千字的原文，抓狂中）
友人A說他覺得這一篇只有五分 XD
阿兜仔的英文都很好嗎?好的標準又在那裡?
好加在我以前大學的原文教科書沒有寫成這樣
不然我可能畢不了業
